2026 ALP Conference Schedule

Note: ALP member registration fee covers ALL meals, events, and speakers EXCEPT for Thursday evening dinner on own.  Breakfast will be at the Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Bardstown and is covered with your stay.

 

Thursday April 9, 2026

*Note on attire: Period attire is optional on Thursday but encouraged for the evening session.

Beginning at 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm:  Conference Check-In (Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Bardstown)

Beginning at 3:00 pm:  Drop Off Silent Auction Items (Please Bring Silent Auction Items to the Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Bardstown – Hotel Conference Room)

Beginning at 3:00 pm:  Hotel Check-In (Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Bardstown lobby)

2:00 – 4:00 pm:  ALP Board Meeting (Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Bardstown – Hotel Conference Room)

5:00 – 5:45 pm:  Gold Sponsor (Lincoln National Bank) has asked several Lincolns to come in dress to be welcomed at bank – 1 block from hotel.

4:30 – 7:15 pm:  Dinner On Own (Attendees Will be Provided With a List of Local Restaurants) / Many Local Side Trips including Distilleries, Springfield Homestead Park, The Abbey of Gethsemani

7:30 pm:  Welcome Reception from Bardstown Mayor (Meet at the Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Bardstown – Hotel Conference Room).  We will also have a Lincoln-Kentucky Trivia Game and details of events/times the next three days (Presented by Host Larry Elliott).

9:00 pm:  SILENT AUCTION OPEN

 

Friday April 10, 2026

**Note on attire: Period attire is appropriate (and expected) for this day, especially as we will be having group photos taken

6:00 – 8:00 am:  Breakfast (Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Bardstown Breakfast Area)

8:15 am:  Board Bus (or Car) and Travel to Bardstown Civil War Museum

8:30 – 10:30 am:  Tour with Guide of the Bardstown Civil War Museum with Speaker (Steve Munson)

Separate museum on women’s roles in our wars

10:30 am:  Board Bus (or Car) and Travel to My Old Kentucky Home State Park

10:45 am – 12:15 pm:  Tour “My Old Kentucky Home” Facility with Video

12:15 pm:  Board Bus (or Car) and Travel to Old Talbott Tavern

12:30 – 2:15 pm:   Lunch at Old Talbott Tavern with Speaker (Tyler Vaughn) for Both Ladies and Gentlemen (2 Separate Rooms)  Group Photo After Meal

2:15 pm:  Board Bus (or Car) and Travel to Oscar Getz Whiskey History Museum

2:30 – 4:15 pm:  Tour the Oscar Getz Whiskey History Museum with Speaker (Jack Rein) Liquor will not be served.  Speaker will discuss Lincoln’s liquor tax to support the war and other important history.

4:15 pm:  Board Bus (or Car) Return to the Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Bardstown

5:45 pm:  Board Bus (or Car) and Travel to My Old Kentucky Home Banquet Room

6:00 – 7:00 pm:  Social Gathering (My Old Kentucky Home Banquet Room)

7:00 – 8:00 pm:  Dinner (My Old Kentucky Home Banquet Room)    PLEASE NOTE: ALP Member dinner is included in conference registration

8:00 – 9:00 pm:  Entertainment (5-7 minute portrayals by seven different Lincolns and 1 (or two) Mary Todd Lincolns, and a US Grant (My Old Kentucky Home Banquet Room).

9:00 pm:  Photo Opportunities with All Presenters

Approx. 9:45 pm:  Board Bus (or Car) Return to the Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Bardstown

 

Saturday April 11, 2026

*Note on attire: Period attire is appropriate (and expected) for this day, especially as we will be having group photos taken.

7:00 – 7:45 am:  Breakfast (Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Bardstown Breakfast Area)

8:00 am:  Board Bus (or Car) and Travel to Lincoln Birthplace in Hodgenville, KY

8:45 – 10:00 am:  Tour Lincoln Birthplace in Hodgenville, KY

10:00 am:  Board Bus (or car) and Travel to Lincoln Museum in Hodgenville, KY

10:15 – 11:15 am:  Tour Lincoln Museum in Hodgenville, KY    Group Photo At Lincoln Statue

11:15 – 11:45 am:  Speaker Iris Larue – “Ladies in Lincoln’s Life” in the Lincoln Community Room

12:00 noon:  Board Bus (or Car) and Travel to the Knob Creek Home

12:15 – 1:00 pm: Tour the Knob Creek Home

1:00 pm:  Board Bus (or Car) and Travel to Kentucky Railway Museum

1:15 – 3:15 pm:  Lunch at Kentucky Railway Museum (Lunch on the train with speaker Lynn Dawson)

3:15 – 4:00 pm:  Board Bus (or Car) Return to Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Bardstown

4:00 pm:  Relax at the beautiful hotel or free time on your own (shopping and other nearby attractions)

6:15 pm – ?:  ALP Meeting with Catered Dinner at the Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Bardstown

9:45 pm: SILENT AUCTION ENDS

 

Sunday April 12, 2026

7:00 – 8:30 am:  Breakfast (Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Bardstown Breakfast Area)

9:00 – 10:00 am:  Worship Service (non-denominational) @ Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Bardstown
